The Hellenic Society of Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology (ΕΕΟΓΑ) aims primarily to advance Radiology in the field of Dentistry. In parallel, it seeks to promote Diagnostic Radiology among Dentists and Physicians with a particular focus on the craniofacial region, with the ultimate goal of improving the services offered to society.
These objectives are achieved through our active involvement in university education, our contribution to medical and dental continuing education, and by ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations. Additionally, ΕΕΟΓΑ serves as a communication channel between maxillofacial radiology specialists and other healthcare professionals, enhancing collaboration and knowledge in the field.

The Hellenic Society of Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology was founded on April 30, 1998. Its founding charter was signed by 45 Founding Members, and its first President was the late Professor Ioakim Eleftheriadis of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. At that time, the Society’s primary purpose was to undertake the organization of the 7th European Congress of Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology in Athens in June 2000.
